RP3X Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 Pretty much what my long title says, ive got the latest utorrent build, run thru the portfowarding.com guide for utorrent on my new netgear router, ive tried a few dozen times to single and range forward my listening port but it still fails the speedguide port forwarded test, yet I stillget a green tick to say my connections ok and get 1.1meg+ on my downloads on an 16meg line (10megish max)Emule ports foward perfect without issue...same guide/settings used.Cant figure it out, but plugging in my old linksys router it goes green and passes the speedguide port test just fine !Any ideas?
RP3X Posted December 26, 2008 Author Report Posted December 26, 2008 This is with the windows vista firewall off and the router firewall off.Its baffeled me but its definatly an issue with the ports on the router since an old router I installed it gets a green status straight away.... and that port is forwarded on it also.Baffeling about this netgear 834N router its a top end product, emule ports are forwarded 100% fine but utorrent ports are almost not even seen.Tried all the tricks/tips ie disable ip filter/firewalls etc etc but still no good, and also upn is enabeled which should have by auto port fowarded it but didnt, and yes tried too turn it off!
DreadWingKnight Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 And what software on your system do you have that may be blocking?Peerguardian maybe
RP3X Posted December 26, 2008 Author Report Posted December 26, 2008 I have not installed peerguardian only the utorent ip filter dat, but ive disabeled that in utorrent settings.Im gonna try going back to XP and just checking something out/ I feel its still an Netgear issue but dont fancy changing a £100 class high end router just cos utorrent goes green but the port forward test fails under speed guide.
