nobitakun Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 I have two little bugs I have since ages ago (I've updated many times uTorrent and I have them since always), the first one is when I click on a torrent file and the uTorrent pop up appears, I rename a file before I accept, but in the uTorrent window appears as the original filename, but when I go to the download directory, I see the file in the name I put.The second oen is more buggy and annoys me much more, I have set up the max number of downloads to 6, but when there are already 6 files downloading and I click on the seventh, it does not become a "queue" file, uTorrent puts in queue one of the first six files already downloading (I have experienced it is not ramdom, it does some kind of alphabet way) and starts downloading the new one, without my permission!, and I end I can't download what I want first, uTorrent DECIDES ITSELF, it is turning me crazy. Thanks for helping me!
DreadWingKnight Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 Second issue:Look at the # column. Do not use "Add to top of queue" setting when adding torrents, or use the up and down buttons on the toolbar to reorganize the tasks.
Ultima Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 The first one isn't a bug anyway. You choose the download location in the Add New Torrent dialog, not the torrent job name. It just so happens that when a torrent with a single file is "renamed" in that dialog, µTorrent also uses that name for the torrent job (only because the torrent didn't already come with a name key in the infodict, so it uses whatever the filename is).
nobitakun Posted December 30, 2008 Author Report Posted December 30, 2008 Got it, now I use # column and uTorrent doesn't decide for me anymore. Thanks for helping me people ^^.
L1nked Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 Is it possible to add the first thing mentioned here - ability to rename torrent job names - as a feature request? This would make file management so much easier. Even the option - it could be global in Preferences - to automatically name torrent jobs as destination directory/file name would be super cool. In fact, this method of doing it automatically would be best for this.
