diomedes
My pc recently had a freeze/crash, and upon reboot, i learned that utorrent completely deleted all the files i had in the cue list of the utorrent client. Is there some way i can recover those entries?thanks.
Ultima
You're probably going to have to reload the .torrent files from Start > Run > %appdata%\uTorrent, and point µTorrent to the actual files' current locations on disk. As well, make sure you enable Preferences > Advanced > bt.graceful_shutdown in µTorrent. That option will cause µTorrent to take some more time to exit, but it'll make sure it exits properly (so that this disappearing of torrent jobs doesn't happen again). diomedes
Thank you for the reply."That option will cause µTorrent to take some more time to exit, but it'll make sure it exits properly (so that this disappearing of torrent jobs doesn't happen again)."The current setting for that in my preferences is "false", so i will go ahead and change that.It will take some more time to exit? But what if the computer actually experiences a sudden shut down (like a power out for example)? This setting would help in situation like that. Ultima
Sudden shutdowns are abnormal, and you shouldn't expect anything like data integrity to hold up in that situation. Is there any reason the computer should shut down suddenly? Power outage? Crash?
