Jbrown832 Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 I've got 20 meg broadband but my upload speed doesn't go past 100 kb/s. My download speed however is fine and can reach any speed, but my upload seems to be limited.I have read through all the guides on this site and used the recommended settings, it just seems weird it's only my upload and not download.Has anybody came across this before? and got a solution? Thanks very much
Jbrown832 Posted January 6, 2009 Author Report Posted January 6, 2009 Download = 19506 kb/sUpload = 732 kb/s
DreadWingKnight Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Is that with uTorrent running or not running? If it's with uTorrent not running, you are getting your line's limit.
Jbrown832 Posted January 6, 2009 Author Report Posted January 6, 2009 That's without uTorrent. Here it is with uTorrent running...Download = 19757 kb/sUpload = 667 kb/s
Switeck Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Cable ISPs as a general rule give very little upload speed compared to how much download speed they give.
Firon Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Your upload just can't go any faster. You'd need to find and pay for a package from your ISP with more upload."20 meg" is your download, not upload.
