rahraptor
I recently got a new laptop so I installed utorrent and noticed the yellow triangle. I then realised that I hadn't yet port forwarded so I did that BUT I now am a little confused. See I did the port forwarding thing following the website but with my wireless router. My router is connected to another modem. So do I have to do the prt forwarding thing for the router as well to get it to work or have I just done something wrong along the way because its not working
dvelez1985
When you port foward a connection what you are doing is allowing outside connection to enter your internal network and connect to a specific device that you specify based on IP address. So let's say your ip address on your laptop is 192.168.1.100 and your utorrent port is 500. Well on the router you gonna put a port forwarding statement that says you will allow all incomming connection to connect to 192.168.1.100 on port 500. Just FYI though if you don't have port forwarding that doesn't mean you can not download though that just means you can't upload so unless you are part of a private community this really wouldn't concern you that much anyways.
