liliananegrea
Pls, could you tell me whether it helps others when my downloaded torrents are only seeding and not uploading? I have an idea of what is seeding and uploading but it bits me why some of them are only seeding? Does that mean that they are not used by other downloaders?...Is it also important for a downloaded torrent also to upload not only to seed? I am sure that these are silly questions, but this issue vas been bothering me for quite a while. Thank you very much Liliana

liliananegrea
Thank you very much Schnurlos, but on the first page of the link it was explain only what seeding is, so I will have to read all the other help links posted there and I am afraid that it will be too complicated the explanation. Thanks anyway, Liliana
schnurlos
Seeding = Uploading to other users (peers). If a Peer gets 100% of the file(s), he is called Seeder. That's all.
liliananegrea
Ok...now I got it. Thank you very much. And now the last question...Why some of the seeding torrents upload and some of them don´t? Liliana
Ultima
You might not be connected to peers interested in receiving data form you on those torrents that don't seem to be uploading. This can happen for various reasons, but most often, it happens because the peers have plenty of other sources for the data they're trying to get (may be that there are far more seeds in the swarm than there are peers).
