CarbonCrew
I've been reading a lot on how to properly setup uTorrent yet nothing has helped. I've been using uTorrent for a long time now, almost 2 years, and have just dealt with this problem. However, lately the fluctuation has been driving me crazy. My ISP is providing me with a 6 Mbps/512Kbps connection. I just performed a speed test and got the following results: 5592 kbps (699 KB/sec transfer rate) 398 kbps (49.8 KB/sec transfer rate). And I properly forwarded the correct ports on my router. It doesn't appear that any tinkering I do with the settings helps. Here are some of my current settings: Enable UPnP - Off, Enable NAT - On, Add Windows Firewall Exception - On, Enable DHT Network - Off, Enable DHT for new torrents - OFF, Enable Local Peer Discovery - Off, Enable Peer Exchange - On, Protocol Encryption - Enabled.I'm really just curious if this is normal and if not some ideas as to what my problem may be would be extremely helpful. Thanks for any input. Here are some screen caps of what I am experiencing. Switeck
If you're not even getting 400 kilobit/second upload in tests, your uTorrent settings are probably too high...and that can cause all kinds of fluctuating speeds.
