simonburger
This question may have already been asked and if so I apologise, but whenever I use uTorrent, or any torrent program for that matter, after a while whilst something is downloading my computer just decides to reset. I've checked my Monitor Power and it's all been selected as to never turn off... I'm near 100% positive it's not a virus, spyware, malware etc. that's causing the problem... anyone have this happen to them before!?

Firon
Well, that seems to be the Windows PPPoE driver. It's likely crashing because of your ethernet card drivers. Try upgrading the ethernet drivers.Or if you're connecting to the modem using USB, stop using USB and use wired ethernet.
simonburger
Out of curiosity how would I upgrade my ethernet drivers?
Ultima
Find out what model it is (possibly listed in Start > Run > devmgmt.msc), and search for that particular model's drivers?
Akos
Unfortunately I have been experiencing the same reset problem since I first installed uTorrent. First I was not sure that it happens because of uTorrent but now there is no doubt about it. Something must be wrong with that torrent client SW, because if I don't use uTorrent than my system works perfectly. By the way I am using the newest version, but I experienced the same problem with the earlier versions too.@Simonburger,was your problem resolved by updating your ethernet driver?I glanced at my .dmp files. There is written "Probably caused by : nltdi.sys". This file belongs to the SW NetLimiter which is installed on my PC. So now I am using uTottent without running NetLimiter at the same time. How knows... maybe these 2 SWs are just not in good friendship
Firon
Well, the problem lies with NetLimiter. Only kernel-mode software (like drivers) can crash the system, and it takes a bug in the driver for that to happen.Report it to NetLimiter's support. simonburger
Sorry for late reply.. my ethernet drivers didn't need updating and I'm not sure how I can stop running Netlimiter whilst running uTorrent.. any ideas how to?
