redone632
I recently installed my new D-Link DIR-655 router. Everything seems to be fine except one thing, QoS. Apparently it's supposed to be super intelligent and manage your congestion better. The one thing I don't get is why does it limit my upload speed on torrents even if I am not doing anything else. Like right now, it won't break 50 kBps when normally (on my Linksys WRT54G) I could easily break 100 kBps. I've had the router for 2 days and have noticed significant lower upload speeds on uTorrent. All other bandwidth sites say my upload speed is around 120 kBps.I've done everything from disabling QoS, setting up a QoS rule for uTorrent, updating the firmware, etc.Anyone have any idea? Switeck
Shaw Cable ISP in Canada disrupts BitTorrent traffic...probably seeding in particular.Your old router now, if you still have it working, probably would not be any better.
