Hi, new to torrents and had a couple questions.

Background:

After I have obtained the completed files downloaded from a torrent, I like to arrange them to my liking by renaming the files and moving them to different folders than they originally downloaded to. Sometimes if I have downloaded multiple files (from within one torrent) I will also delete a few from the group that I find I'm not interested in.

It seems that when I rename, delete or move files to other folders the torrent those files came from gets a red x beside it and I can no longer seed it even though I want to.

Questions:

Am I able to rename files, delete files and move files to other folders without getting the red x beside the torrent the files came from? (I am not deleting the actual torrent file itself). If so, how? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help. I apologize if this has been covered before here frequently...there is a lot of info on these forums and I found it difficult searching for exactly the questions I had.

EDIT: A lot of views and no responses...can anyone give me an answer?...please.

You can't delete the files without screwing the torrent. You'd have to skip the files and do a force re-check.

You CAN move and rename the files, but you have to that first, then in µTorrent, select the torrent, click on the Files tab, and right click -> Relocate to point µTorrent to the new filename/location for each file. You can select multiple files at once and the dialog will pop up for each file you selected.
