Medodgers Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 Hi, sorry I haven't looked back at all the topics to see if this is covered elsewhere. I'm used to using uTorrent to download, but I've just started uploading my own stuff and would like some help please. Is there any way of genuinely finding out how many people are seeding my stuff after they've downloaded it? I've uploaded around 50 files and there have been over 5,000 downloads, but I've yet to see anything in uTorrent which suggests the downloaders are becoming seeders. When I've looked at the general tab for a torrent it always shows '0 of x connected (x in swarm)'.Looking at the peers tab it is possible to see 4 or 5 peers go past 99.9% (I'm using initial seeding). The value of x goes up, but it never becomes 1 or 2 of x connected, it just stays at 0.I thought the idea was that once my files have been downloaded several times each I would not have to seed them round the clock for them to remain available. This suggests to me that my work will never be done as a seeder. Is this correct? Any help or advice would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks
