I have virus protection and firewall, after I downloaded it say seeding. I want to know if my pc protection is not allowing seeding. It say that it is polite to seed after you finish downloading to help out other downloaders. So I want to know how to tell if my firewall is preventing me from seeding and I don't know what to look for to know if I have seeded enough time. moogly Posted January 18, 2009 Report Share Posted January 18, 2009 Main ratio = total UL / total DL.In your case your ratio is ~1 so it's fine, you have reached the equilibrium.But this ratio is global. For each torrent, it depends on your behavior. Maybe it's better to seed unpopular/old torrents with 2 or 3 peers to maintain them alive.Or you can seed each torrent to 1 and stop it (or delete it). moogly Posted January 19, 2009 Report Share Posted January 19, 2009 Carefull on private trackers, they have a ratio to keep, sometimes if yours is too low, you can't leech new torrents, leech all torrents or you can be banned.
