mosdapwn
I know it is not permitted to give preference to peers in the swarm for preventing potential misuse, but what about files ?I'm uploading a 80GB torrent consisting of about a 100 video files, and I'd like to give priority to individual files so that they can be completed and seeded by peers while the torrent is still in initial seeding progress. Firon
No, there's no way to prioritize files or pieces when uploading.
Switeck
If you feel it's ABSOLUTELY necessary to do, you could run another instance of uTorrent on another port and have it sharing ONLY the most important files. That'd cost additional hard drive space, and you'd need to know how to mark files as 'don't download'.
mosdapwn
I see what you mean, 2 directories, equal priority with the first instance, and only check important files for the second, split the upload speed and you've got prioritization,Thank you. Switeck
Yeah, do note that uTorrent WILL SHARE files marked as "do not download" if it finds them!
