Hello to all. Please forgive me for asking the same question but we all have different issues so this might be new and if not I'm a dumb ass.

I just downloaded the utorrent 1.8.1 and I have btguard for isp ghost or what ever you want to call it. I have folled directions. But I have the stupid yello triangle telling me no connection. I currently have some files on the download but as you might guess nothing is happening due to no connection. What gives. This is my set up.

Computer who really cares it's good to go...trust me.

windows vista ultimate

internet provider comcast.

wireless router d-link extreme N

anti virus webroot and it isn't indicating any thing unusual.

just ran a speed test and this was the result.

Welcome to the µTorrent Port Checker.

A test will be performed on your computer to check if the specified port is opened.

Checking port 38266 on 75.64.1**.***...

OK! Port 38266 is open and accepting connections.

You will be able to receive incoming BitTorrent connections.

Still no connection. What gives?

I am having the exact same issues. Pinging canada.btguard.com times out at least 50% of the time.

Were you able to find a resolution?

No AV installed.

No firewall.

uTorrent 1.8.1

checked and rechecked settings.

Says account is "Active"

Pinging canada.btguard.com times out at least 50% of the time for me too, could be they're overloaded. Does it work without btguard? If so, it's likely their service.

frc393 (and others to a lesser degree),

1st and 2nd link in my signature.

1st one is for troubleshooting, and tells you what information you'll need to give us.

2nd link gives suggested settings for uTorrent based on your max sustainable UPLOAD speed.

NOTE: Max sustainable UPLOAD speed is far less than max download speed for most connections.

Do you get firewalled status on the Open Office test torrents? (mentioned in 1st link)
