Hello,

I previously had uTorrent set up on my home network on a XP SP3 machine, working perfectly. I only use uTorrent internally so used to save the torrent file to an Autostart folder across the network then manage the download using uTorrent in Firefox.

I upgraded my server yesterday from XP SP3 to Vista Ultimate and now it is not working. Windows Firewall is off.

The message in firefox is:

http://192.168.0.4:49157/gui/

Failed to Connect

The connection was refused when attempting to contact 192.168.0.4:49157.

Though the site seems valid, the browser was unable to establish a connection.

* Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing.

The message in IE7:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Please help!!! I used to love my little uTorrent setup!

All of the computers on the network are now Windows Vista.

Hi, although all of the computers were using the same IP addresses and ports as before, and port forwarding was enabled in the router, uTorrent was not actually listening on the set port for some reason.

I chose a new port for each machine and set this up in the router for port forwarding, all is working now. Thanks for your help.

Out of interest, the old ports I was using were 49155, 49156 and 49157

The ports I am now using are 45628, 46738 and 42819

Thanks again.
