moogly
Look at this thread: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=34259You need to know your max UL speed of your connection. Run a test: http://www.speedtest.net/ (stop websurfing and p2p during the test)Then find a reference in the previous speed guide and set uT like that http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=361023#p3610230 as upload speed is really a bad value, you will overload your internet connection. moogly
Can you test with this torrent ?http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/ (choose a random torrent like Windows/English/version 3.0) and report the max DL you will have.27 kByte/s is not very high. Did you run many tests to have an average ?
cudtech
thanks again for getting back to me.2878kb/s download 223 kb/s upload isp:upc from galway, irelandthats an average. im mainly having problems uploading my seeded torrents are not moving, this was not always the case.i tried to download from that site but it was very slow and then it just stopped.i changed my port to 45682 and my downloads seem to have speeded up.i never reset my port fowarding will this make a difference
moogly
Yes, check in your router if the port forwarding rule is OK with your port number set in uT.With the OO torrent, you may reach normally the max DL speed because it's well seeded. cudtech
in oo there was only 2 seeds showing.im a bit lost here, how can i check my router to see if the forwarding rule is ok
moogly
Choose a popular OO torrent like this one http://borft.student.utwente.nl/~adrian/torrentphp/torrent.php/OOo_3.0.0rc4_20080930_Win32Intel_install_en-US.exe.torrentTo check your router, you need to enter in its setup with your web browser. Type an URL like http://192.168.1.1/ or something similar. See the router manual if necessary. But if uT has the green icon, that looks good. It can be an "issue" about low torrent, that's why I asked to test an OO torrenT.
cudtech
thanks againthat reached 330 kB/s but its only uploading at 2 kB/s
moogly
I think it's normal about the low UL speed because the OO torrent is well seeded.
