blizeH
Quite simply an option from the system tray menu that'll switch the program to 'half bandwidth' mode!Need to recieve a file from elsewhere? Wanting to browse the web with a little more speed? Maybe play an online game? - two clicks, half the bandwidth, allowing for more speed elsewhere, once you've finished, another two clicks and you're laughing! Certainly beats manually editing the speeds in the network settings and I'm sure it'd be easy to implement :-)
1c3d0g
Uhm...you can already right-click on the taskbar in µTorrent and set any value you want... :/
blizeH
You can pause/resume torrents but that's all, isn't it?
Firon
How hard would it be to use the status bar? You can even customize the values there...
1c3d0g
That's what I was trying to explain to blizeH, it's just that I should've said status bar, not task bar. Still, it's not that hard to use the menu's from there... :/
Kazuaki Shimazaki
The problem, I suppose, is that he'd have to open up uTorrent to see the status bar. If we are going to have a convenient place to instantly change speeds, I agree it should be moved to the right-click menu on the system tray icon. blizeH
Ah didn't notice that on the status bar, sorry! That's a lot better than going into the preferences I guess, but it'd still be great to have a quick and easy low bandwidth mode
naugas
Better than having to do it manually every time, why not make it work automatically? I made a post about this in another thread some days ago, and it would be interesting to hear some comments about this solution. http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=44035#p44035
