Error: Access is Denied (Using Windows 7)

Hi,

I just installed the Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Beta today, and I get errors saying "Access is Denied" after the torrent downloads something for a couple seconds and I need help locating which program causes this error.

I'm using the same programs I had with my previous Windows XP x32 Home so I think it has something to do with the Windows 7, but a friend said he didn't get any problems.

EDIT:

After playing around with my download location, I noticed that it works fine when I set it to my C drive instead of my F drive.

I have tried making my external a Change/Read -able drive by using the Share with function on Windows 7, but that still gave me the error.

Does anyone know a way to save the locations onto the external/ change the externals to be a changeable drive?

Hi excuse me for my english i'm just a poor little french.

+1 for me, under Windows 7 Ultimate x32 Beta for few day's cause tirred of my bugging version of vista i am well surprise by this new windows working very well for me excepte with Utorrnet. Same troubleshooting than nobodyknowz, if some one got an idea.

I put my Download location on drive C: under utorrent dirctory like i use to do under windows Xp and Vista.

Maybe a knew version by develloper's for vista and W7 beta because i didn't want to go back on windows xp.

Did you check the rights to read/write in the folder where are your data?

Problem solved. I found a solution here <mucnhed - not the actual fix> it seems to be a problem of compatibility.

I may have found an alternitive solution just right click, and run as administrator, or right click, go to properties, go to the compatibillity tab, and check the run as administrator. worked so far for me. this worked with download folders being on G:\

Access denied errors have to do with file permissions before they have to deal with hostile software.

Right Click on the File or Folder of your torrent , Uncheck Read only ,Worked for me......
