Biffo the Bear
I have 1.8.1, and recently when I click the 'remove' button, I get a box that says, "Are you sure you want to remove the selected torrent and all it's associated data?" Unless I'm losing my marbles, I swear it didn't used to mention data.I've only just noticed this, and realised why I've been mysteriously losing files. I've always removed torrents from the list this way, and never had problems. If I want to remove the torrent and data, I right-click the torrent and select accordingly.I've looked at the FAQs and done a search, and the nearest relevant post I can find is this: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=52637, but the advice there is to do exactly what I am doing. I hadn't noticed this was for Mac, so might not be relevant. Not sure whether to post here or in Bugs, so I'll start here.
moogly
Hum, if you use the Mac version, it's the wrong forum. If not, you surely right clicked on remove button (icon bar) and choose "delete torrent + data".
Biffo the Bear
I think you misunderstand my question moogly. Just to make it absolutely (I hope) clear. Previously, I have clicked the 'remove' button, and this has simply removed the torrent from the list in the client. Now when I click the remove button, it is offering to remove the torrent from the list and all the asociated data. I am using a pc.
moogly
Ok because you have linked a thread about an issue relative to the Mac version.Right click on the Remove button in icon bar and check if you didn't attribute unintentionally the choice "Remove and delete .torrent + data".If it's the case, change settings to default choice "Remove". Biffo the Bear
Ok, I've done that. Wrong attribution. It must have hicupped itself into that state, because I didn't even know that function existed, and I'm the sole user.Anyway, all's well that ends well, and I'm much obliged for your time and trouble, thank you.
