GbeTech
My removable HD is connected by USB, is downloading TO or seeding from it slower than to do so to my main HD?
schnurlos
Depends on the speeds of your internet connection. If you can have higher speeds as the USB 2.0 speed (theoretically 480 Mbit/s) or USB 1.1 speed (theoretically 12 Mbit/s), you will have problems. But remember: Mbit/s is not MB/s !!! GbeTech
Thanks, my connection is pretty slow (2MB) so I guess it doesn't make any difference. Just to make sure, 1MB=8MBite right?Anyway I probably have USB 2.0.
jmclaren7
1 MegaByte = 8 Megabits (bit not bite)ive done this once and you will sure as hell see a difference if you have to force a recheck mid download or if you have a good number of downloads at once i wouldnt recomend more then just a couple, you should get an idea by looking at the disk stats in utorrent, and alos pay attention to a message that shows up in the status area, something about disk overload or something, one more thing: read up about adjust you utorrent cache manualy, see if that could improve things
