lmeece
I'm using 2 laptops and two towers in my home network (2 hard-wired and 2 wireless). I have uTorrent on all boxes. My question is can I use the same port number for each box, so I only need forward the single port or do I have to use four different ports? Any help would be greatly appreciated. moogly
4 static IPs, 4 ports to forward in your routeur (TCP & UDP).
lmeece
I'm using DHCP which shouldn't change anything, so I'll use 4 different ports! Thanks moogly, for your speedy reply.
GTHK
On some routers, not using a static IP can prevent forwarding. Also, with DHCP, IP addresses between computers can be switched up, depending on usage.
