Could some peers using port 80 as their listening ports in (futile) attempts to masquerade their BitTorrent activities as HTTP traffic, probably to avoid possible ISP throttling on their ends. If you don't like it, you can always add port 80 to Preferences > Advanced > bt.no_connect_to_services_list.

I sorta figured that out. Also, many trackers use port 80 for their announce connection. After adding the common trackers, most of that went away for me. Thanks for the reply and I'll check out the connect setting... PG2 is an interesting hunk of software, but is sort of temperamental, but I wouldn't want of torrent w/o it.

Too many people have gotten letters from their ISP or had legal problems with some downloads. Until uTorrent publishes comprehensive block lists, I'll not depend on guessing the "common poisoner" ip numbers. Others have done a lot of good research on this, and I am more than willing to take advantage of their offerings.

PG2, admittedly, can be a pain in the butt, but with a little patience, trial and error, and research, it can be an effective tool than can do more than just be a complement to uTorrent. I also use a custom hosts file than can be a pain at times, but provides that additional level of security.

I do try to practice "safe" computing! ~LOL~

Read it. So, it's possible to be framed. I'm sorry, but that's not news. Spoofing will get you so far, then you're going have to show proof. That's going to be a tougher sell.

Of course a VPN is the way to go, and I may get around to that some day, but while nothing will stop a liar, PG2 and a good block list does help. You simply will not convince me otherwise. Of course nothing is perfect, but every additional layer helps and I'll not leave my machine wide open just because there are invalid complaints or because nothing is perfect.

However, I certainly will introduce your poison range to my filter list. Thank you.
