VOIP & Port forwarding

Hi Guys

To date I have had not issues with port-forwarding, I followed the tutorial and obtained good download speeds. But I recently changed ISP and also connected my system to their VOIP phone plan. It seems that with a static IP set up I was unable to make VOIP calls. I contacted the ISP helpdesk and they changed my settings to "Obtain an IP address automatically". Along with a bit of further tweating by them I can now use my VOIP phone.

I have a TP-Link TD-8840 router and a NetComm V210P ATA adaptor, linked to 1 computer.

Is it possible to configure port-forwarding and still use my phone for VOIP calls?

My download rate now is about a quarter of that before.

Thank you in advance

LW
