Deleted torrents recoverable?

Hello all,

I accidentally deleted a torrent. The files are still in the folder assigned, but the torrent is gone, and not completed. Is it possible to recover the torrent and continue from where it left off?

I read this thread http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=21307 but it is old and I'm not sure it's what I'm looking for.
