rafi
In the status bar we have this notation: UL/DL speed[optional limit] I suggest to use this exact same notation on the main view in the DL/UL speed columns: speed[optional limit] this way this will be easily visible to the user to a user who set a limit for individual torrent, and the come here and ask - why is it so low, since he forgot he set a limit ... Ultima
... Enable the (optional) Up/Down Limit columns?
rafi
opsss, right... didn't notice those. Unless you want to stick to one convention as in the status bar and/or save two columns.
Ultima
It would save a few pixels at most if you merge the columns, and it comes with the drawback that we'd have to place the option to turn it on/off in the Preferences dialog. That leaves us with UI Extras or Advanced, which wouldn't really make any more sense, and would be even more difficult to find. So the idea likely wouldn't be worth the effort or the trouble.Introducing consistency in the string format introduces inconsistencies in program design and preference/option placement. Moving the option into an even less accessible location only serves to make it that much more difficult to use. What we have currently works well, and is extremely simple and consistent anyway. rafi
It sounds logical too. Me - I would let this behave like you do on the status bar - w/o any user control, but just display this limit if it exists and not display it if it does not. It's kind of "flag" to indicate that you did some important limiting action. But, whatever. The current way (that I did not notice) will also work fine. It's just a minor issue.
