lochow
Im running on the new windows 7 beta, and consistently whenever i download a torrent with more than 10 files in it, I get an error where it says that: The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open. I can then start the torrent back up and within a minute or two the same error pops up and i simply have to restart it, but when the files get big, this starts to become very annoying. Im using version 1.8.2 build 14458, so i think im up to date... any suggestions as to why this is happening?

Ultima
Can you try stopping Spybot's TeaTimer service for the time being to see how it runs? If that fixes the issue, can you re-enable TeaTimer and see if there's anything you can configure in it to somehow prevent it from happening? Perhaps adding an exception for µTorrent (if possible)? lochow
tried that, no luck either... spybot fully allows the program tooI literally stopped every unnecessary process that still allowed windows to run and it still happened. moogly
So it can be a problem with a module of AVG. Anyway I see you're running Win 7 beta, many users have reported this issue about "user mapped sections" or "access denied".
lochow
so does this mean you have no solution to this problem even though many users have reported this issue?
Ultima
No. It means we have an idea, and have at least one solution for a specific case, but not for all cases because not all pieces of security software are the same. Care for a read? See this.Specifically, see the bottom of page 5 and the top of page 6 regarding AVG.
lochow
Before my first post on this subject i read that entire post. I followed every suggestion on there to no avail. I can assure you that AVG is not causing the problem, i uninstalled it, and cleared the registry manually of any remnants. And also turned off every single non essential running process sequentially to attempt to pinpoint the conflict. the problem still persists. It has to do with the compatibility with windows 7 beta, unless there is some way that an uninstalled application is still interfering with uTorrent...Still not to mention is the difference in problems, my problem only occurs with about a tenth of the files i download, specifically ones containing large numbers of individual non .rar files ie(raw applications, photos, and music) . Im also not having windows explorer issues like everyone else seems to be having.
Ultima
Give us an updated HijackThis log. As well, get Process Explorer from sysinternals.com, run it, Ctrl+D (to show the lower DLL pane), select the µTorrent process from the list, Ctrl+S (and save the list somewhere you'll find easily -- like the Desktop), then post the contents of the saved process list in the .txt file here
