Seeding Settings

I'm still clueless as to seeding. I've seeded stuff for months and still in my list.

When i go to the completed section-the column that says (seeds) and (avail). I don't know what they mean exactly.

Could you please give me specific settings for the best seeding possible that won't take away from my d/l?

my pref settings are :random port. I'm on high speed. no prob's with firewalls etc.

seeding settings says ratio is 150% or seeding time is : 10 (in the box)

I have NO idea what this means.

Could someone just please tell me what to put that will give back what is acceptable? I don't want to be a leech and i seed forever but understand nothing of hte seeding.
