cscottcs Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 I have been going through all the forums and guides regarding utorrent to try and optimize my settings. I have adjusted my max speeds (both up and down). I have also done port forwarding (which works like a charm). The last thing that I have been reading about are 'half-open tcp connections'.Now everything I have found refers to Microsoft's operating systems. I have not been able to find anything about Macintosh's operating systems. Is there nothing in the Mac OSX (version 10.5.6) that limits half-open tcp connections? If there is, does anyone know how to go about fixing this. Thanks in advance for the help everyone.
NoOneButMe Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 You don't need to touch the tcp half open connection settings.
apress Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 Sorry for lifting this old post but I'm wondering the exact same thing. In Windows you can tripple download speed with altering net.maxhalfopen in utorrent, for Mac - there isnt any advanced settings. Is there any other way to speedup utorrent download on Mac OS X?
DreadWingKnight Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 ignore youtube setup guides and follow our setting charts.http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=58404
