wes69
Hey guys i need some help with my utorrents downloading speed, its currently running between 2.0 - 3.5 kb/s on the download. It used to run at about 25 kb/s on a good day, i think this was before i got the newest version of utorrent. I am running Xp SP2.I know I dont have the fastest internet connection- ADSL 256 kb, but its should be working a little better than this. I thought that maybe some settings were wrong, but I am not sure what the best settings for my internet speed are in the options menu, but im sure someone else out there with the same speed internet as me does know.Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated
Switeck
Do you see a message at bottom?Something like "download limited"?If you don't, that's ok ...just trying to rule that out as a problem.Have you tried disabling DHT if you're using torrents that have >10 seeds+peers?Do you have a router? Is there a mini-router in your ASDL modem? (look up that brand+model via GOOGLE if you don't know.)

Switeck
What is your ADSL's real linespeed?Especially important is the upload speed -- as it's almost always the biggest bottleneck. Also, are you limiting torrents at once so each upload slot gets at least 1 KB/sec? Firon
Speedstreams are problematic with P2P. Set it to Bridge mode, it might help.

Firon
Find out your upload rate in kbit/s, then use the Speed Guide and choose the upload amount closest to yours.
