eforumz Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Hi, I am the owner of recently launched www.eforumz.com I want to offer a proposal to the owner to let us host the utorrent forumz...which includes unlimited space and bandwidth. Furthermore, looks like this is a pretty big forum alrady, and I will remove the integrated advertisements. The reason im proposing this, is to offer our features to utorrent for free, in exchange for utorrent's community traffic on the forums. Our goal is to become known to more people. your forum will become utorrent.eforumz.com. please get in touch with me if you are interested.GREAT SOFWARE BTW...(out of curriosity...what language is it written)
ludde Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Hi, thanks for your offer. But we do not need a different hosting right now, unless our current host complains about the CPU usage. What did you get "integrated ads" from? There are no integrated ads on uTorrent's forum./Ludvig

Oh, and it takes 24 seconds to load just the front page on dial-up. Just some tip-offs. Cheers!
Ultima Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 What did you get "integrated ads" from? There are no integrated ads on uTorrent's forum.I think he meant that normally, the forums hosted on his site would have integrated ads, but if you hosted there, it would be removed for you. Either way, the hosting here seems fine, so...
eforumz Posted October 10, 2005 Author Report Posted October 10, 2005 erissiva, I wrote the site in PHP, so im not surprised if html isnt perfect...and why the load time 24 sec? is it because of the amount of grahics? or slow server?btw...its on a shared host....maybe switch to dedicated?

Keloran Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 all my sites are written in PHP i dont have any XHTML/CSS problemsyou should always check your sites before launching them
eforumz Posted October 10, 2005 Author Report Posted October 10, 2005 I got my errors down to 32, and BTW those sites are not very reliable, most of the errors that they give me dont even apply...because as long as it does what I want..I have no problem. bad html does not cause vurenabilityy
vurlix Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 utorrent.com was built with php and validates as xhtml 1.0 Strict. 8)
erissiva Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 utorrent.com was built with php and validates as xhtml 1.0 Strict. 8)Same with mine. Both my forum and blog. Both are custom designs. Perhaps you can take a look into some articles about usability or accessibility eforumz. And building it in PHP doesn't mean it can't look good.Perhaps this great artivle called "How to nail a sexy layout".
