sludgey Posted February 20, 2009 Report Share Posted February 20, 2009 i downloaded the latest version of utorrent on my friends acer 4200 laptop running vista basic, but it has not installed correctly. when i try to uninstall it from the control panel/uninstall programmes function it does not appear in the list of installed programmes. also there is no sign of it anywhere in the programmes folder. if i try to down load it again when it gets to the run or cancel opption, pressing run instantly launches the screen that you would see if you clicked your utorrent short cut button from your desktop but nothing is actually working, or if you select to open a torrent from a site you get error messages. if i could find a way to start again i am sure it would be ok because the latest version works fine on my own laptop. any advice on how to start again or cure the problem will be appreciated. thanks in anticipation.
