utorrent uses 100% of (one) cpu when a tracker is down

Right now the website of the pirate bay is down for me, and I see the "Tracker:" field of my download (there is only one currently) switching all the time between http://tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce and udp://tracker.thepiratebay.org:80/announce, and one of my cpu is at 100% during this time (and I checked, this is really utorrent using the 100%).

After a while (at least 10 minutes) it stops, and starts again between half an hour and a couple of hours later.

@moogly: I don't know how to "remove an announce from the torrent job"

@DreadWingKnight: I think I misplaced this post, sorry: I have Mac OS X 10.5.6 with no particular security software, and utorrent 0.9.1 Build 14581. Can you move the post to the mac forum, or should I juste post it again in the right forum?
