omerta12 Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 Because my uni dorm network blocks p2p such as BT, it's really a pain to get a torrent start downloading. All tracker's status are "connection closed by peer". It seems the only way to make it work for now is by "local peer discovery." If I don't get any peers from this category, it is over. DHT doesn't find anything, either. So what should I do to get good connection to trackers?
moogly Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 Probably not. Especially if you can forward a port or if you are strong firewalled. A solution is to use a seedbox (server) for torrenting and download from serveur to local with FTP.
moogly Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 Review about seedboxes. You have to pay for the service.http://filesharefreak.com/2008/05/04/review-and-comparison-of-torrentflux-hosting-services/http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/f-guides-and-tutorials-65/t-naqs-complete-setup-guide-linux-seedboxes-fedora-corecentosdebianubuntu-281331
