an_idiot Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 I recently upgraded my file server from windows server 2003 to 2008 64 bit (I know, very brave of me....)When I tried to use utorrent I get a very weird issue. The first time opening utorrent everything is fine. But then if another user opens it OR I close ut and open again, it shows a white window with only the menu. I also can't close it without using task manager. Any subsequent opening of utorrent will show only the white window or not even do anything. Is this known or is server 2008 just not supported? I really don't want to go back to server 2003, but utorrent is the only reason for the file server...
Switeck Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Does uTorrent unload from memory properly when you close it?(Does it remain in memory according to CTRL+ALT+DEL monitoring window?)
an_idiot Posted February 24, 2009 Author Report Posted February 24, 2009 No it doesn't.Most of the time, I can't even close the window. I press the 'X' it doesn't close. The few times I can close the window, utorrent.exe still stays in memory. Even if the window doesn't popup it is loaded in memory (ie: shows up in Task Manager)
DreadWingKnight Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 What internet security software do you use?
