cubebomb
Hey,for those of you who use opt online, i wanted to know if there have been any new technique to get around this speed slowdowns.I was testing something and it seemed to work. Since the torrents only last about 15 sec @ max upload( i am capped) i just stopped the seeding torrent. Make it seed and it was once again going up to max. but then again, the cycle will continue to go down to its 30KBps. Anyways, give some updated techniques that seems to be working on your part. Switeck
You will likely need to try 'extreme' hiding tricks to get better speeds:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=361747#p361747(Note: My post immediately following that one explains what settings in uTorrent are similar to the Azureus ones.)Disabling Resolve IPs probably won't hurt either... cubebomb
I have tried all of the settings possible. It seems that the ISP has me capped.each time i engage in connecting with someone, the speed will just to 250 then it will suddendly drop to 15 to 25KB even on Messengers.dam....i guess ill go back to get my stuff from Irc again. =)
Switeck
Your upload speeds might be better if uploading to another Optimum Online customer...
cubebomb
That is exactly what happens. When an optimum online user gets on the torrent, it kicks to max 282KB up load just to him.I noticed something else....I went and got me ' Bleach ' the new episode from DB tracker. There i was uploading regular to everyone, it was always at max and the users were not from Opt/cablevision. This cap only happens on my private trackers, unless the users are from Optimum...- my ratio just keeps on sinking due to not being able to upload. Switeck
Often, ISPs will let you upload just fine while downloading...then try to kill all peer connections while seeding. The slightly smarter ISPs at least allow the same-ISP peers to remain connected, to keep the traffic internal to their networks.
