I figured that a straight connection from my dsl line to my computer wouldn't require any port forwarding. There is no router, windows firewall is disabled, and even my antivirus software is disabled, yet every port i've tried shows up as closed. tindean Posted February 25, 2009 Report Share Posted February 25, 2009 Hey all.totally new to this p2p stuff kinda..I notice that i never have the green light on...My internet connection is a g3 usb thumb drive modem...7.2g download-2.0g upload capabilities..Its with the Rogers network.I have no antivirus or firewall running and i just did a clean install of xp all updated etc...so i haven't installed peer guardian yet...I can reach speeds of 400-500 on the downloads with most torrents but still no green light..Now I dont always reach those speeds mainly 10-60kbs..do I have to have the green light??I dont know how to turn on the utorrent specific port if I even can with the way I hook to internet??Any ideas?ThanksI have disabled APnp and NAT as well as resolve ip addy in my peers list..Thanks again..
