bowserlm
I've followed all directions to get my ports forwarded properly, and I've even tested that they're open at http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ but I've discovered that a few minutes after the port is forwarded, it just closes again. I test again at that website only minutes later to find that now suddenly the port is closed. The router I have is a Netgear WGR614v7 and my internet provider is Charter Cable. The only thing I can think of is that maybe Charter is closing my ports right away, or that perhaps the port forwarding isn't sticking for the router for some reason. I DO know that when I perform the port forwarding in the Netgear "Smart Wizard", if I go back into it after I've closed it and try to make any changes to the port forwarding, nothing shows up for me to change, though if I try to just recreate the port forwarding it says "conflict with other service" so I know buried in there somewhere is the port forwarding I already did.Anyone have any ideas?
