tashfain Posted February 27, 2009 Report Share Posted February 27, 2009 im using wifi .my equipment is siemens gigaset SX682 wimax.i was trying to forward my port but in vain.now what i observed is this euipment dont need any specific port.it can work on any port i mean sometimes i havea port showing red icon and suddenly it will change to green. is there any one who can tell me whether it is true or not and if it isnt how can i forward the right one. Switeck Posted February 28, 2009 Report Share Posted February 28, 2009 Most WiFi services give you only a LAN ip on a commercial wireless router that won't port forward your LAN ip. In short, hopelessly firewalled. You'll need to ask your ISP -- try looking at their website first and reading any manuals/guides that came with your service.
