t41 Posted March 1, 2009 Report Share Posted March 1, 2009 a noob question for this forum - I have just installed the web ui all is working so far, but it seems that this is more of a program to log into your client from outside my network than a tracker. As far as I can see an read you cannot download torrents from the web ui, all torrents must be emailed i assume to friends if they want to download privately from my uploads.On a small comparison I also have used the embedded tracker from vuze or azureus and that one others can download torrents directly from the tracker.Just want to make sure these are the main differences, as much as i like utorrent, I am in need of a tracker that others can log into to download my personal torrents. Lord Alderaan Posted March 2, 2009 Report Share Posted March 2, 2009 The webui is just for (limited) remote management of the µTorrent client.The embedded tracker is another functionality of µTorrent that has nothing to do with the webui and indeed it is very limited.
