shmeezil
I have a hub. Can it be forwarded the same as a router?
Switeck
No, hubs aren't even proper switches -- they broadcast all traffic to everyone. This also means only 1 connection at a time can run at 100%.Ironically a hub might work ok because all the traffic passes through them transparently...IF they have the bandwidth to set it all!But I bet a hub doesn't handle different kinds of network packets correctly when routed from outside their immediate domain. Computer-to-computer through a hub might be ok, but computer-to-someone-on-the-other-side-of-the-internet might get lost at the hub.
