How come this option does not stay after you click on it, everytime you reopen preferences is back to it's like it's been unselected...so how do you make it stick?!

What do you see in logger tab when you start uT? Something like that?

[2009-03-08 11:37:18] IPv6 is installed

[2009-03-08 11:37:18] Got Teredo Address: 2001:0:d5c7:22d6:4d8:1a9c:a226:c5bf

I get the following:

C:\Users\Michael>netsh interface teredo show state

Teredo Parameters

Type : client

Server Name : teredo.ipv6.microsoft.com.

Client Refresh Interval : 30 seconds

Client Port : unspecified

State : offline

As I said before, I do not run a firewall -- hardware or software -- at all!

What is your firewall? Because sometimes firwall are not IPv6-able.

Try that: check and install IPv6 if necessary on your computer, check IPv6/Teredo is enabled in uT, close uT, enable Windows Firewall, restart uT.

If Teredo is working, uT should assign you a Terefo address. In addition, if your router supports UPnP, you should see a port forwarded for Teredo (this one is random if you don't set static).

This is what I posted a few posts ago:

'I don't use a firewall, and I am Admin to my computer...I don't use stupid User accounts.'

I do not have a router, only a cable modem....

Without Windows Firewall enabled, Teredo doesn't work in XP and Vista.

There are some implications must be fulfilled by the firewall software (though, I don't know a single one that implement them).

Thus, disabling the Windows Firewall, you disable ipv6 capabilities of the protocol stack.

13xforever, you're right.

I already spoke about that in this thread (last post) and that's why I asked to enable Win Firewall and make a try to see if that solves the issue, but mlauzon doesn't want to hear anything.

NB: In addition stupid user accounts as you said are a good defense against a virus infection. That's the basis of computer security.
