Picollo30
Hi guys im looking for some answers on the subject on google but havent found anything that can help. Im using utorrent and i have the xp firewall on,i created a TCP exception for port 45715 (btw is this a good port? ) and my question is simple as this: do i need / can open a UDP port for utorrent also? I read somewhere that using utorrent + udp is possible (for DHT packets if memory doesnt fail me).So on XP Firewall: --> TCP - 45715 --> UDP - 45715is this ok? what are the benefits or dangers if any?thanks in advance
moogly
There is no danger.http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=48495There is a need for UDP in uT: DHT, LPD, IP resolving (DNS request on port 53) and UDP connections are not all through the same port. moogly
Yes there are the same port. Open a port for TCP/UDP in your router and Win firewall, it's sufficient.
