insinuendo
is there, through tertiary party, a method of contacting leechers or seeders when down is slow?
DreadWingKnight
Maybe through the sites you got the torrents from, but that's a MAYBE.And that's also your best bet.
Naeko
One other mainstream bittorrent client has the possibility to let you chat with others if you get the optional plugin. Of course, since almost all other users do not get the plugin, no chatting occurs. If uTorrent had that ability, it would have to be built-in for uTorrent since user-made plugins are not allowed. That is an advantage since at least everyone has the chance of turning on chat for a specific torrent. The problem with allowing chats is that if the bittorrent client wants to control or monetize the communication feature, allowing an independent channel for that (outside of using the company's servers) would not necessarily be good. Firon
Chatting will never be added. It's just a magnet for spam.
