deadENDER Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 Does Utorrent support a silent installation, say as a batch line? Thanks!Jason
mau370 Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 I just use uTorrent.exe /PERFORMINSTALL 2 with uTorrent 1.8.2Works fine for me in WinXP, Vista, and Win 7
deadENDER Posted March 12, 2009 Author Report Posted March 12, 2009 hmmmm . . . can't seem to get this to work. I put this line in a batch file. I typed the line directly from an administrative prompt. I'm using Vista x64 and am trying to automate utorrent.exe on a small set of machines. Do I need a different version of utorrent? The FAQ says something about needing an installer version. Help? Thanks in advance!
mau370 Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 Sorry, i apologize! This /PERFORMONSTALL seemed works, but it was on a system pollued bye a previous installation.... Arggggggg!I face the same problem than you, i try harder to solve it.When i get solution, i shall inform you!Regards

But how can i do silent install with that?I tried all commands in batch, and nothing works as /PERFORMINSTALL /NORUN with older version (i.e 1.7.7). We need a true silent install as olders'ones for populate easily our systems.Regards
DreadWingKnight Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 We don't care about older versions, as they are not supported.

Firon Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Does /PERFORMINSTALL do nothing at all?Simply that parameter and nothing else.
mau370 Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Hello deadEnderI got a silent instal solution through this posthttp://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=129530&st=0&1. Get the %cab2. Extract it in a folder3.Add in this folder the last uTorrent.exe4. perform a silent install via command line like this : Start /wait /Folder/utorrentSilentScript.exeThis work fine for me in XP, Vista, and W7.Regards( May be we could expect a good working command line version ??)
