Wz
I have a 2 mbps connection, and all my settings are set correctly in uTorrent. I've read all the stickies and still have not been able to solve my problem. I've even modified my tcp settings as some websites say with regedit and that slightly increased downloads, but only by a few kbps. What I don't understand is, there are about 20 people with 100% downloaded that are listed as seeders and are all located in my country, yet it decides to connect to only one seeder, some guy with 29% downloaded in Argentina and I get download speed of like 7 kbps. Why won't it download from the other 20 people with 100% downloaded? It makes no sense to me.
moogly
If you set correctly uT (bandwidth, green circle), bittorrent doesn't guarantee a DL speed. It depends on the swarm quality and how the other peers want to share with you. It's frequent to have a torrent with 2 or 3k peers and leech to 10 or 20% of your max DL set in uT, especially when it's a public torrent.
Switeck
LOTS of people set upload speed to 1 KiloBYTE/second GLOBALLY, then run multiple torrents at once. And your connection probably isn't really 2 megabit/second, at least on the UPLOAD side!
