TheWhipper
I'm currently running Version 1.8.2 on Windows XP SP3 Professional.I have been running utorrent for quite some time now, but have noticed that my normal web browsing has slowed. With utorrent up, I currently have it set to unlimited and getting the following speeds DL:23.9kB/s UL: 214.5kB/s When I go to SpeakEasy Speed Test website http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/and test with my closest server "Dallas, TX" I get the following DL while using Utorrent.Last Result:Download Speed: 1189 kbps (148.6 KB/sec transfer rate)Upload Speed: 46 kbps (5.8 KB/sec transfer rate)However when I right click on the "U" icon near the clock and "Pause All Torrents" I do another Speed Test and get the following results.Last Result:Download Speed: 5165 kbps (645.6 KB/sec transfer rate)Upload Speed: 1835 kbps (229.4 KB/sec transfer rate)My Math says that with Utorrent running 23.9kB/s and SpeakEasy at 148.6KB/S should equal 172.5kB/s, but when I turn of Utorrent, I get 645.6kB/s.Where am I loosing 473.1kB/s when Utorrent is running?I tweeked everything in this FAQ http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992and something in that list worked, because I'm back to normal. Wonder if when I updated to 1.8.2 something happened with my settings?
Switeck
Who can upload that fast? Also, your download speed will likely be crippled if trying to upload at "unlimited" speeds.
