bashy
Okay this is really annoying.. I have tried everything to modify my TCPIP.sys so I can have more half-open TCP connections but somehow nothing works. Maybe it's because of windows updates and the methods I've tried are usually OLD. Does anyone know something that works with Windows Vista Home Premium? I've tried replacing my TCPIP.sys and I can't do it because windows says I don't have the rights to do so (even tho I AM the admin) not even in secure mode... I've tried the Event466d patch which didn't work either said that it doesn't have access to the file... There must be some way, please! I'm using 32-bit based Vista Home Premium. Version of the TCPIP.sys is 6.0.6001.18063
Ultima
Lower net.max_halfopen instead?
bashy
Why would I want to lower it? I want to increase my speed so I can connect to more IPs.
Ultima
And that's where you've got it wrong. Increasing your halfopen connection limit does not affect your speeds.http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=368139#p368139
