barjohn
Hey i live in canada and my ISP has called me and told me that in Canada it is illegal to share files but im allowed to download it and i should go into my preferences to make it so i dont share files becuase its illegal and i could get in trouble. I Dont mind sharing files and i think it is essential in order to download files but i hate getting these phone calls telling me to stop seeding or im going to the slammer. anyone have any ideas. like think i could mask my IP or somthing from an ISP. i doubt it. or perhaps another torrent program i can use that i can control my seeding. DreadWingKnight
Inform them of the decision in the CRIA vs Canadian ISPs case where the evidence used by anti-p2p groups to go after sharers is insufficent to allow court ordered turn over of customer data.
