niRRity
I would love to see an ISP BT throttling detection feature. There are websites that claim they can detect if your ISP is throttling your BT traffic, so I assume it's possible. Also, Vuze has a plugin that does just that.If uTorrent could automatically detect a throttled connection and alert the user (maybe even activating encryption automatically if throttling is detected) it would be great. Switeck
"There are websites that claim they can detect if your ISP is throttling your BT traffic"Claim yes...but it can be very hard to determine if the slow speeds are caused by your ISP, your networking hardware/software, OR other people's ISPs!Often, a torrent is slow simply because there are too few or too slow seeds and peers. Maybe many set global upload speed max to 1 KiloBYTE/second and are uploading/downloading multiple torrents at once? Or the one superfast seed left after getting a 10:1 sharing ratio?
