nossie
Hi There,I'm new here and just exploring u-torrentCan someone tell me why in most cases a download have a lot of seeders.Example: a download has 238 seeders, for dowloading it uses only 8 seedersWhy is this...is there something I can adjust to let u-torrent use all available seeders??Please explain it to me.Thanxgr.Nossie
DreadWingKnight
Because:1> They have a limited number of connection slots that are probably full2> They have no incentive to upload to you even if you do connect3> Re-centralizing like that goes against the principles of the protocol. You get better speeds from other downloaders anyway. Switeck
uTorrent (and some other BitTorrent programs) lack specific rules for connecting to fewer connections per torrent while seeding. Their upload slots also remain the same, though ideally while seeding they would probably need fewer not more for best results.
